Stewpot Sunday
On Sunday, August 7 Fondren Presbyterian will prepare and serve the noon meal at Stewpot Community Services in downtown Jackson.
Thanks to the faithful generosity of many members, we will provide a meal for up to 200 of our Jackson neighbors. The menu includes chili over rice, garden salad with dressing, corn muffins or crackers, fruit, and cookies.
You are invited to sign up to provide, prepare, or serve the meal at Stewpot. To sign up, contact the church office at office@fondrenpcusa.org or (601) 982-3232.
We are still in need of:
Bottled Water (~100 bottles)
2-3 Gallons Chili
6 28 oz. Boxes of Instant Rice
3 Dozen Corn Muffins
6 5 lbs. Bags Clementines or Similar Fruite
10 24 oz. Bags Garden Salad
8 Large Tomatoes
Volunteer Opportunities
9:00 a.m.-noon — Prepare food at the church
Noon-12:30 p.m. — Transport food to Stewpot (requires SUV or pickup truck)
12:15-2:00 p.m. — Serve food at Stewpot
