Being Together While We’re Apart

Because we all miss our Fondren family, here are our Sequester Stories—a series of stories and photos by Fondren folks sharing what our “pandemic lives” are about.

We decided to start a container garden because we have been wanting to do a vegetable garden for a while, but we don’t have any yard space in which to plant a garden as we currently live in an apartment. My parents, Jamie and Jim Pitts, had some pots they weren’t using and some potting soil. I (Leslie) went to Walmart and bought a tomato plant, a pepper plant, and some seeds. Then Robin and Serenity went to my parents' house and picked up the pots and soil. After they arrived home, we planted our seedlings and seeds. We started with 4 pots and now have six pots and a five-gallon bucket.

Y’all can follow along on our journey via our YouTube channel, Dancing Italian Urban Farm.
