Building on the conversations about race, poverty, and privilege prompted by the first One Church: One Book selections, the co-Moderators of the PC(USA) have chosen the next book for our denomination-wide study.
Neighborhood Church: Transforming Your Congregation into a Powerhouse for Mission is an exploration about what it means to be a church that is alive and visible today. Written by two PC(USA) pastors, the book includes guided conversations, engaging anecdotes about congregations in action, and an exploration of the role mission plays in the spiritual life of individuals and congregations.
Fondren will be reading and discussing this book in the weeks after Easter during our regular Wednesday night program. If you are not able to make those sessions or would like to host a group of your own, please contact Rob in the church office and we will help you get started.
Mission is about more than projects and financial benevolences. It is about relationships and community. Join us as we see where the Spirit will lead Fondren as we grow in relationship with the community around us.
