At Fondren Presbyterian, our young people grow up in the tradition of service: they participate in the liturgy during worship, help with younger children in Bible school, and prepare food and serve at Stewpot. Our commitment is to walk with our youth as they grow in the faith. The Youth gather at a local coffee shop on Sunday mornings for coffee and conversation about the sermon topic for the day. They meet at the church most Sunday evenings for Bible study and fun activities. Through a variety of projects, they raise funds to support their annual trips to Montreat summer youth conferences.

Sunday School

Sunday morning at 9:30 AM the youth meet with Rob to discuss topics ranging from Bible stories to issues of the day.

Sundays at 6:15 Fondren youth and friends gather for dinner and fellowship. A highlight of Sunday fellowship is coming up with the “challenge word” for the coming Sunday’s sermon. How will Rob manage to work “aluminum siding” into a sermon on Isaiah? Come to church and find out!

The highlight of the youth calendar is the annual trip to the Montreat Youth Conference in June. The planning meeting for Montreat 2019 will be at 6:15 PM on Sunday September 30.

Mission trip

2019 brings the newest addition to our ministry with Youth…the mission trip. We will work together as a group to decide on a destination for a mission experience that takes us out of Jackson and offers the chance to grow and learn while we serve our neighbors.
